In 2025, we turned 95 and hit a lot of exciting milestones. In April alone, we completed our brand new, main level concessions stand AND a full LED stage light conversion. At long last, we also saw Cypress Street open again as the construction wrapped up! Nearly 8,000 people attended one of our public film screenings and, even more exciting, we set a new record for touring shows in one year. We saw almost 15,000 patrons attend one of these 31 touring shows in 2025. The Paramount also received a long overdue honor; in September, we received our Texas State Historical Marker.
We’ve remained a steady force in the downtown community. We continue to offer excellence in live theatre, concerts, film, and community rentals with programs like Paramount Productions, Cabaret Under the Stars, and our Summer Family Film Series. It is also our pleasure to partner with many area nonprofits, including Abilene Ballet Theatre, Abilene Community Band, and the Children’s Performing Arts Series; we love being “home” for so many.

Our goal is simple: Have more events. You can help us do just that! With your support, the Paramount Theatre will continue to grow.
All members will proudly be listed by the front doors of our theatre.
Any donor over $50 receives memorable perks like a night on the town with tickets and a gigantic bucket of buttery popcorn.
All donors of $500 or more will be listed in each of the four program booklets for productions and our international film festival.
As we approach our 90th anniversary, thank you for keeping this jewel in Abilene's crown open and thriving! Now, let's see what more we can do!
