Part-Time Front of House Event Lead:

Role
The Paramount Abilene is looking for a friendly, efficient, and detail-oriented Front of House Event Lead. In this role, you’ll primarily work Paramount events and should have flexible evening and weekend availability; additionally, you will work occasional daytime shifts during Paramount business hours in consultation with the Box Office Manager. This role reports to the Director of Paramount Productions.

 Responsibilities

  • House manage during Paramount events (includes greeting and assisting patrons, managing lobby flow, problem-solving seating issues, prioritizing accessibility needs, liaising with technical staff on night-of logistics, managing Paramount volunteers)

  • Sell tickets during Paramount events

  • Oversee and work closely with our other part-time House Managers and Box Office staff

  • Sell/process tickets during business hours (in person or over the phone) and handle/report cash sales

  • Build and manage ticketing events in our ticketing system, Etix

Qualifications

  • Strong customer service and communication skills, both in person and on the phone

  • Calm under pressure with the ability to pivot quickly

  • Comfortable with cash/POS systems (box office or retail experience a plus)

  • Flexible evening/weekend availability

  • Can regularly climb multiple flights of stairs and lift up to 25 pounds

Schedule

  • Part-time, primarily evenings and weekends

  • 20 hours per week guaranteed
