Position: Part Time, Hourly
Summary: The Paramount Theatre in Abilene, Texas is seeking a part-time Assistant Technical Director.
This position is responsible for assisting the Director of Operations in the management of theatrical and operational components of the facility, including but not limited to lighting, sound, rigging, crew supervision, and building maintenance and custodial supervision.
Qualifications: the ideal candidate will have experience in all disciplines of theatre tech either in a collegiate or professional setting; a high level of computer literacy; excellent communication skills; the ability to climb ladders and work with heights up to 50 feet; ability to lift 50 pounds; and the ability to work flexible hours which will include frequent nights and weekends. An undergraduate degree (BA, BFA) in Theatre Arts, Arts Administration, or a related arts field is preferred, but not required.
Work Schedule & Hours: this is a part-time position with a minimum of 25 hours per week. Additional hours may be required during performances, special events, and peak production periods.
Compensation & Benefits: this is a part-time position and does not include paid time off or benefits.

Position: Part Time, Hourly
Summary: The Paramount Theatre in Abilene, Texas is seeking dependable Technical Crew members to provide support for theatrical productions, concerts, and special events. This position assists with the setup, operation, and strike of lighting, sound, scenery, rigging, and stage equipment while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Qualifications: the ideal candidate will have experience working in a live performance or event environment, or a strong interest in theatrical and technical production. Applicants should be dependable, safety-minded, and able to work collaboratively as part of a production team. Basic knowledge of stage equipment, lighting, audio, or scenery is preferred but not required. The ability to follow instructions, work flexible hours including nights and weekends, lift up to 50 pounds, and work at heights using ladders or lifts is required. Prior experience in theatre, concerts, events, or related technical fields is a plus. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.

Summary: The Paramount Theatre in Abilene, Texas is seeking dependable Concessions Workers to support food and beverage service during performances, concerts, movies, and special events. This position assists with the preparation, sale, and restocking of concession items while providing friendly, efficient customer service in a fast-paced environment. Concessions Workers are responsible for operating point-of-sale systems, handling cash and card transactions accurately, maintaining cleanliness and food-safety standards, and supporting overall front-of-house operations to ensure a positive patron experience.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have experience in customer service, food service, or a strong interest in working in a hospitality or event environment. Applicants should be dependable, friendly, and able to work collaboratively as part of a front-of-house team. The ability to follow instructions, provide courteous customer service, and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting is required. Candidates must be comfortable standing for extended periods, lifting up to 30 pounds, handling cash and point-of-sale systems, and working flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Prior experience in concessions, food service, or retail is a plus but not required. Applicants must be 16 years of age or older.
